I’ve never actually had a Taco Bell Crunchwrap, but I’ve made similar versions many times at home. These Blackstone Fritos Crunchwraps are a fun twist: Fritos replace the crunchy tostada layer for extra texture and flavor.
This was my first time cooking them on a flat top griddle, and it was a complete game changer. Cooking multiple crunchwraps at once on a Blackstone makes dinner fast, efficient, and perfect for feeding a hungry family.
I often skip lettuce inside the crunchwrap because it tends to get soggy, but feel free to add it if you prefer a fresh crunch.

How to make Blackstone Fritos Crunchwraps
Gather and organize your ingredients on a tray so you can carry everything out to the griddle. Ingredients I used include extra-large 12-inch flour tortillas, seasoned ground beef, crushed Fritos, queso in a squeeze bottle, sour cream in a squeeze bottle, and shredded cheese. Preparing everything ahead makes assembly quick and keeps the process smooth.

Preheat the griddle to medium heat. Add one pound of ground beef and cook 4–5 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula. Once it’s mostly browned, add taco seasoning and about 1/4 cup of water, then cook 2–3 more minutes until the seasoning melds into the meat. When the meat is done, move it to one side of the griddle and, if desired, turn the griddle off briefly while you assemble the crunchwraps.

If you prefer to assemble outdoors, place a cutting board on the griddle and work there. Start each wrap by placing a scoop of taco meat in the center of a tortilla. Sprinkle a generous layer of slightly crushed Fritos over the beef. Add a drizzle of queso and sour cream from squeeze bottles for even coverage, then top with shredded cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla in toward the center, slightly overlapping to create a sealed pocket. Place each assembled crunchwrap seam-side down on a clean surface while you finish the rest.

Set the griddle to medium-low and add a thin coating of cooking oil. Place the crunchwraps seam-side down on the griddle and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until the tortillas are golden and crisp and the cheese inside has melted. Flip carefully with a spatula to maintain the seal and prevent spilling the filling.

Cook until both sides are crisp and browned, then remove and let rest for a minute before serving. The final result is a handheld meal with hot seasoned beef, melty cheese, creamy sauces, and crunchy Fritos all in one bite.

Blackstone Fritos Crunchwraps were soooooo flipping yummy!!

Each bite delivers a satisfying mix of textures and flavors: warm, seasoned meat; creamy queso and sour cream; melty shredded cheese; and the unmistakable crunch of Fritos. They make an ideal casual dinner, tailgate food, or camping meal when you have a flat top griddle available.

– Add diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, or chopped cilantro after cooking for bright, fresh flavors.
– For extra crispiness, brush the tortillas lightly with oil before placing on the griddle.
