These Sweet and Spicy Ground Turkey & Broccoli Bowls make a simple, healthy, and flavorful weeknight dinner that’s quick to prepare and satisfying to eat.

If you enjoy a well-balanced bowl meal, these sweet & spicy ground turkey & broccoli bowls are for you. They combine lean protein, vibrant vegetables, and a tangy-sweet sauce with a hint of heat. The recipe is straightforward, wholesome, and comes together in about 15 minutes.
I taught a short cooking demo recently and experimented with several ground turkey recipes afterward. These bowls stood out for being simple to prepare while delivering big flavor. Ground turkey is adaptable and absorbs sauces and seasonings well, which makes it ideal for fast weeknight meals.
How to Cook Ground Turkey:
Raw ground turkey is pale pink and turns light brown as it cooks. To make it taste great, be sure to season it and cook it over medium-high heat until it’s fully cooked and no pink remains. Browning and breaking the meat into small pieces helps the sauce cling to it and develop flavor.

Can I use something other than turkey?
Absolutely. If you prefer, swap in ground chicken, ground beef, or ground pork. The sauce and vegetables pair well with any of these proteins; just adjust cooking times as needed for fattier meats.
Why you’ll love these bowls
- The blend of sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, and soy sauce balances sweet, spicy, and savory notes for a crowd-pleasing sauce.
- Lean ground turkey and broccoli make the dish nutritious without sacrificing flavor.
- Minimal prep and a short cook time make this recipe perfect for busy evenings.
- It’s easy to customize: increase or reduce the sriracha for heat, swap in different vegetables, or serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or noodles.

For convenience I often use frozen precooked brown rice; it heats in three minutes and saves time. You can also use fresh cooked rice or noodles — whatever you prefer. Cauliflower rice is a good low-carb alternative.
These bowls are simple, tasty, and versatile. I hope you try them and enjoy how quickly they come together!

Notes
- I like Trader Joe’s sweet chili sauce for its balance of sweet and tangy, but other brands such as Mae Ploy also work well. Use what’s available to you.
