These “Adult Only” Easy-Peasy Jello Shots are refreshing and delightful. Made with only three ingredients, they’re quick to prepare and perfect for parties.

Thanks to my friend Nicole for inviting our family to one of her wonderful barbecues. She cooks and bakes beautifully, and we’ve enjoyed many of her dishes over the years—from summer gatherings to holiday dinners. Everything she serves always tastes fantastic.
Nicole is creative with presentation and desserts, making everything look festive and fun. Her daughter and my son have been friends since first grade and are now teenagers, so we’ve shared many family occasions together.
At her most recent Fourth of July get-together, these jello shots were waiting for the adults. They were so refreshing and flavorful that I asked for the recipe right away. Now I make them whenever we have guests. These treats are intended for adults only.

What are the three ingredients for an easy-peasy jello shot recipe?
Here are the simple ingredients:
- 2 small boxes (3 ounce) Jell-O — any flavor; you can mix sugar-free and regular if you like
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup vodka (cold)
How do you make easy-peasy jello shots?
Simple four-step directions:
- Pour boiling water over the dry Jell-O in heatproof bowls. If you want two colors, use two bowls; otherwise one large bowl works fine.
- Instead of cold water, add one cup of cold vodka and stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into small plastic cups (available at craft stores) or other small serving cups.
- Refrigerate until firm, about three hours or until set.
Enjoy!
