Health is our greatest wealth, and good nutrition is an essential part of leading a healthy life. Today I talk about healthy food choices and share some tips how to achieve that good happy health. + Pick up some motivation with today’s quote!

Happy Monday! It’s the first Monday of the month, and a little motivation feels right. In this post I focus on health — why it matters and how good it truly feels to be healthy.
I know it may sound dramatic, but I honestly believe that nothing feels better than being healthy.
Not a slice of cheesecake.
Not a bag of chips.
Nothing compares.
Health is our greatest wealth. When we lose our health, everything else becomes harder. Daily tasks, hobbies and long-term goals fade as illness takes priority. Even caring for family and keeping relationships strong becomes more difficult. That’s why making health a priority makes so much sense.
A few years ago I pushed my body to the brink. I was morbidly obese and my eating and lifestyle habits were harming my health. My body started sending clear warning signs: metabolism problems and other issues that finally forced me to stop and pay attention. I was lucky my condition wasn’t irreversible, but my life felt terrible at that point.
I listened to those signals and changed course. I stopped masking emotions with sugary treats and junk food, focused on detox and real nourishment, and began healing my body with real healthy food. That wake-up call set me on a new path: I started eating more nutritious food, exercising, and gradually lost a significant amount of weight.
Today, I’m still on that path — feeling healthier and happier than ever, and keeping a healthy weight with less effort than before. The biggest lesson I learned is that I never want to feel that sick again. With good nutrition and a balanced lifestyle I finally have the energy to do what I need to do — and it feels effortless. I’m full of energy and ready for life.
Because of the benefits I experienced from eating well, I have no desire to return to old habits. Junk food now feels unappealing because I remember how sick and unhappy I was when I neglected my health.
Along the way I discovered five essential pillars of good health.
Here’s how you can make health your greatest wealth
Make healthy eating a priority.
Good nutrition is a foundation of a healthy life. Paired with regular physical activity, a nutritious diet lowers the risk of chronic disease and supports overall well-being. Choose foods that nourish you and benefit your body. Limit processed, high-sugar foods and frequent cheat meals.
Drink more water.
Staying hydrated supports clear skin, aids digestion, helps flush toxins, and keeps muscles functioning well. Water is a simple but powerful habit that benefits nearly every system in your body.
Prioritize sleep.
Quality sleep is essential for recovery, mood, and cognitive function. Individual sleep needs vary, so identify how much rest you require and make consistent, restorative sleep a nonnegotiable part of your routine.
Find an exercise routine that suits you.
Movement is vital, but it doesn’t have to be extreme. Discover activities you enjoy — walking, dancing, yoga, cycling, or light strength work — and make them a regular part of your life. Consistency matters more than intensity.
Do what you love.
Engage in hobbies or pursuits that challenge and inspire you. Having meaningful activities boosts happiness, reduces stress, and supports long-term health.
Many people who eliminate processed foods from their diets come to realize that truly nothing tastes as good as healthy feels. That doesn’t mean denying yourself pleasure; on the contrary, you may find you enjoy life more when you feel well.
Until next time, stay happy and healthy.
