Spine-Tingling Haunted Halloween Yard Display Ideas

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a bootiful day! After creating a sparkly diva display that my little diva adored, I wanted a more traditional, slightly spooky Halloween arrangement for the rest of the household. I used a few Dollar Store finds and many items I already owned—always satisfying when things come together that way.

The ghost trio and the small tree came from Kirkland’s, and Mr. Spider had been in storage for years. Now that he has a home on the cabinet, he hasn’t been discovered in anyone’s bed! The web and the framed ghost came from the Dollar Store. I stacked a few appropriately themed books to raise one of the dancing ghosts for visual interest.

I painted a white spider blue soon after finishing a pink spider for the diva display—got to keep the boys happy, too! The cheerful ghosts add a playful touch to the overall scene.

This ghost sits beside the framed ghostly portrait. I originally planned to use a conventional frame, but the figure fit perfectly into a small plate holder I already had, which gave it a charming, unexpected display angle.

From this viewpoint you can see the ghost’s face—pretty impressive for a Dollar Store decoration. I hung tiny strands of ghostly glitter from the tree and scattered more glitter over the black cloth to catch the light.

I added a few more “creepy” books and small props from my stash. Mr. Bones stands guard to deter the curious fur babies—one of them was even caught stealing a decorative leaf from another display! Confession time: the black cloth covering the red cabinet is actually a torn cape from an old Darth Vader costume. My little Jedi hasn’t noticed yet, so let’s keep that between us.

I couldn’t resist giving a happy pumpkin a little mustache—adds personality, don’t you think?

Isn’t it bootiful? I love thrifty decorating, and these friendly ghosts bring a lot of charm without spending much. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing in my Halloween display!
