Sparkling Pomegranate Lemonade Recipe for Refreshing Summer Drinks

Pomegranate Lemonade

Bright, refreshing, and easy to make, this Pomegranate Lemonade cocktail is built for long summer afternoons and warm evenings. It borrows the tart balance of a classic whiskey sour but replaces the whiskey with a lemon-forward vodka and layers in lemonade and lemon sour for a lively citrus punch. The jewel-like pomegranate seeds add a sweet-tart contrast and a lovely visual texture, while a sprig of fresh mint finishes the drink with an herbal lift.

This tall, sunny cocktail works well on its own or paired with casual summer fare — grilled meats, burgers, and fish tacos are all great matches. It’s simple to prepare, attractive in the glass, and perfect for serving at barbecues or small gatherings when you want a stylish but approachable cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
  • 2 ounces Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka (or another lemon vodka)
  • 2 ounces Powell & Mahoney Lemon Sour Mix (or any quality lemon sour)
  • 3 ounces prepared lemonade (from your favorite mix)
  • Sprig of fresh mint
  • Crushed ice

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker combine the lemon vodka, lemon sour mix, and lemonade. Add 1/2 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds and top with crushed ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture into a mojito or highball glass filled with crushed ice.
  4. Add a heaping tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into the glass and stir gently so the seeds suspend through the drink.
  5. Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and serve immediately.

Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.
